You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
Trust in the Lord forever,
For in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.
Isaiah 26:3-4
Perfect Peace
Through very fruitful and active Spring and Summer seasons filled with mobilization and discipleship, we have been challenged to keep our minds stayed on the Lord and trust His timing and His processes. He has given us His perfect peace to endure the hardships, the difficulties, and the trials of being on mission with Him. We also get to enjoy and rejoice in the goodness of His presence and the blessings that come with it. The Lord’s perfect peace makes this journey with Jesus worth it. As He guides us along this journey and we discover more of who He is, we grow in gratitude and appreciate His love for us. He truly is the Prince of Peace.
Kairos & TUSFY
In our last newsletter, we briefly mentioned our April Kairos course in Sierra Vista, AZ. As a praise report, we had a team of 5 mobilizers who were able to travel 500 miles round trip for 3 consecutive weekends to facilitate this course to 13 participants. The participants of the course received the contents well and 4 new facilitators were trained. Because of this, there are plans to visit again in early 2025 to facilitate another course.
In May and June, we doubled down by facilitating a Kairos and The Unfinished Story for Youth (TUSFY) for a local church here in Las Vegas.
Praying for Open Doors
As we continue to seek the Lord’s face, our burdens for mobilization continue to increase. We have the desire to visit new areas to help the body of Christ better engage in the Great Commission. We were blessed to be able to visit the Philippines in 2023, and our hearts are set on visiting once again in 2025. Please pray with us as we seek to go through the doors the Lord has opened and that God would continue to bless these ministry opportunities.

Making Disciples (Who Make Disciples)
The process of discipleship is at the core of our purpose here on earth as followers of the Way. The truth is, disciple-making isn’t easy, but it does happen when a Christian takes intentional steps of faith to use his/her giftings to minister to those whom the Lord has put in his/her path. It is God who opens doors of opportunity and establishes our steps in our pursuits to make disciples who make disciples. Through this, the Gospel of the Kingdom can run freely to a world filled with lost and broken people, in desperate need of saving.
God has allowed this season to be one filled with disciple-making opportunities as we prepare the soil for mobilization.
Intentional Partnership: A Key to Disciple-Making
In December, God allowed Timothy Sanford to join the Betancourt Missions team as a Missions Mobilizer. God has given each member of our team specific strengths and allowed us to have significant weaknesses so that we may work together as a team to further advance the Kingdom of God. Tim is dedicated to the cause of discipleship and uses his giftings to help conduct discipleship and mobilization courses, and has even written his own curriculums and devotionals. We’re excited for all the ways Tim will be able to contribute to God’s work alongside us.
Feast of Tabernacles Bible Study
I recently had an opportunity to pray for 2 young men who had just graduated high school. As they expressed their heart for the Lord and the desire to be used for His glory, Cherrybee and I began to pray for how to proceed. As we sought the Lord, God gave us a burden to start a home-based fellowship led by young adults and for the ministry to young adults. These young men, Chai and Max, had the same impression from God and Feast of Tabernacles was conceived.
Chai and Max have taken the reigns of leading the study while Cherrybee and I are helping to guide them and nurture discipleship in them. This is our report: young adults who have never been exposed to the Bible and the Gospel are being exposed in a real and tangible way that is relevant and fitting the needs of the current generation. The whole counsel of God is being discussed as Chai and Max have been leading their peers through the Gospel of John. All glory to Christ Jesus!
Kairos
We have been preparing for a Kairos Course in Sierra Vista, Arizona to take place in early April 2024. Please pray for our team who will be traveling back and forth for 3 weekends and those who will be going through the course. Pray the Lord of the harvest to send forth more workers into His harvest and that disciples would be dedicated to the Great Commission. God bless you!

"How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!'"

Running the Race of Faith
Back on March 5th of this year, God confirmed a calling He had laid on our hearts almost 3 and a half years prior. This call was to formally organize a missions organization and serve as missionaries with a global and outward focus. This same calling, we can observe in the Great Commission given in Matthew 28. “Go into all the world and make Disciples of all nations.”
It took some time for us to transition to full-time, but we didn’t let that stop us from taking steps of faith in the evenings after work and in between ministry meeting times. We even conducted a Kairos course the same month we launched!
On August 6th of this year, we officially dove into this ministry calling as full-time missionary mobilizers. We embarked on a 9-week journey to Asia, which led to many fruitful ministry encounters. We were accompanied by our summer intern Max, who had just graduated high school. To report on just one of the many experiences, we were able to conduct a Kairos course at the Calvary Chapel Bible College in Dumaguete, Philippines. 25 participants joined this course with 10 of them going on to become facilitators. This was a miracle from the Lord as the Kairos team in Dumaguete had dwindled down to just 3 persons due to the pandemic lockdowns.
As we made our return to the USA, the Lord made it abundantly clear to that His plan is to expand our territory. We aren’t 100% sure all that this means, but we are running this race in faith, knowing that where God guides, He provides. And He surely has been providing by way of opening doors of opportunity for us to continue to help mobilize the body of Christ.
Our outlook in 2024 is vast with open doors in 5 different states! We are looking forward to all that God will do in us and through us. We desire to push forth the Gospel of the Kingdom so that all believers everywhere would be on mission with God.
We look forward to providing future updates as we continue to keep our eyes on Jesus and run this race of faith with endurance. It is because of His great love that we have been redeemed and are now able to participate in the Great Commission. God bless you!
“...Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
